Write opinions pieces taht introduce a topic or name of a book they are writing about:
state an opinion
supply a reason for the opinion
provide some sense of closure to the piece
Differentiate the beginning, the middle, and the end of a piece of writing
Oral rehearsal
Create a plan using pre-writing strategies such as drawing or oral rehearsal before drafting
Revise and/or edit the plan using a editing checklist for specific purposes
Learn about and use the transition word "because"
Informational
