Math Practices

• use words to show understanding of order and position (top, bottom, left, right, behind, in front of, back, front, beside, etc.)

• recognize and duplicate AB pattern (red/blue, red/blue; star/triangle, star/triangle, etc.)

• subitize to determine how many (dots on dice, fingers) up to 5

Counting and Cardinality

• practice one-to-one correspondence with increasing accuracy - counting objects up to 10

• practice counting in sequence to 20 and beyond

• recognize and name numbers 0-10

• sort objects into subgroups (colors, sizes, shapes)

• identify and name 10 colors

• names the number of objects counting up to 10

Geometry

• identify and name 7 shapes (square, circle, triangle, ovel, diamond, rectangle, hexagon, etc.)

• sort items based on shapes
